Cheryl
qualified as an RGN in 1994 and went on to study midwifery in 1996, qualifying
with a Diploma in Higher Education in early 1998. Cheryl has worked in the
South Hams as an NHS community midwife since 2000, which she continue to thoroughly
enjoy.
Cheryl is particularly enthusiastic about home birth, actively
promoting this within her midwifery practice. Reflexology has been part of
her life since leaving school and eventually qualified as a reflexology practitioner
in January 2007. Since then Cheryl has been adding to her skills with Babyreflex,
Ear Candling and Maternity Shiatsu techniques to enhance her reflexology practice.
She has also hosted practitioner courses for maternity reflexology and more
are planned for 2009/10. Cheryl's own website is www.cherylreflexology.co.uk
Being a community midwife, Cheryl is enthusiastic to give couples additional
skills for labour, whether they plan to birth their baby at home or hospital.
Courses are being planned for 2010 but individuals can still access these
skills on request.
Cheryl also co-ordinates Maternity Reflexology South West, a group of independant
reflexologists across the South West, working together to promote reflexology
in pregnancy/childbirth. A forum is available on their website for public
