OTHER THERAPIES - MASSAGE

Your ease’nflow massage can help you:
• feel more relaxed, refreshed, improving your sleep so you can function more effectively
• feel invigorated, on your toes, ready for action
• feel more grounded, in touch with your body, centred in your Self
• find some ‘ME TIME’, time to chill and let go of your worries.

How does a massage work?

Massage can help by
• Easing muscular aches and pains by restoring tissue condition
• Reducing stress and its harmful effects, improving sleep by encouraging relaxation
• Improving muscle tone and effectiveness, by easing out muscle tension
• Improving joint mobility by gentle mobilisations and stretches
• Boosting the immune system, helping to combat infection by helping the body to de-tox
• Improving digestion by relaxing muscle spasms
• Lifting mood, combating depression
• Improved body awareness and posture, developing a stronger sense of self.

What happens during a massage?

You can choose from
• a 45 minute massage for back, neck and shoulders or hips, legs and feet £27.00
• a 1 hour massage, which allows more time for deeper remedial work in particular areas £32.00
• A full body massage e.g. back, neck and shoulders as well as stomach, hips, legs and feet, usually 1 hr 15mins/ £35.00.
• Prices for aromatherapy, including the use of essential oils, are £30.00/45mins, £35.00/ 1hr, and £38.00/1hr 15 min respectively.
• Prices for reiki treatments start from £16.00 for half an hour.

Depending on the condition, clients may be advised to book a course of treatment. This way you reduce the hassle by paying ahead, or on a regular standing order. A reduction in price of 5% is made when you set up such an arrangement.

Each massage session starts with a short consultation which focuses on you, your life, how you are feeling in your body, and what you would like to change. A treatment is then worked out for you. Depending on the condition, you may need to return for several visits to receive the full benefit.

Clients with mobility difficulties can ask for a home visit to be arranged (there is a small additional fee for this).
A massage while seated or through clothing is also possible.

What makes a massage truly holistic?
A unique nurturing touch that involves the whole person – physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
A range of massage techniques will be used, including gentle relaxing massage, some stretches and mobilisations, energy flow and healing, as well as deeper tissue techniques for remedial work, as necessary. A holistic therapist massages a person, not just their body, working ‘with’ you rather than just giving a massage ‘to’ you. There is no ‘set routine’, instead each treatment is tailored to suit your needs at the time.

The Massage Training Institute has been the leading organisation in holistic massage for the past decade, training practitioners in a wide variety of massage techniques, as well as advanced communication and observation skills. Practitioners are committed to continuing personal development, which is essential for a truly holistic approach. The MTI Diploma course includes Holistic Massage with Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology. MTI is a member of the General Council for Massage Therapy (GCMT) and is actively involved in setting national standards for massage training in this country.
