Reflexology Course
Description
This fully accredited and insurable course will equip you with all the skills needed to perform a reflexology treatment. This course covers reading and interpreting the feet as well as performing relaxation and pressure techniques. It also includes the theory and history behind the reflexology treatment. Resources with clear diagrams and images are included to give you the best possible learning experience. Reception, consultation and aftercare guidance is covered as well as contra-indications to treatment. The course includes online theory as well as practical training sessions at a Plymouth city centre location, designed to give you the confidence and ability to offer a full reflexology treatment.
Who is this course for?
Anyone who wishes to learn about the theory and practical elements of foot reflexology to use as a therapy, either commercially or for friends and family. No previous experience necessary – just a passion to learn!
Suitable for therapists already practicing who wish to refresh their techniques.
What will I learn?
- History of reflexology and theory of reflexology techniques.
- Anatomy and physiology needed in order to complete a competent reflexology treatment.
- How to conduct a consultation, including identifying contraindications and providing aftercare advice.
- Practical techniques specific to reflexology with live demonstrations and immediate feedback and guidance.
Course contents:
Pre practical sessions: completion of theory modules online, Anatomy and Physiology, Professional Standards, Reflexology.
Practical day 1: mapping the feet, reflexology techniques, opening and closing relaxation movements.
Practical day 2: right and left foot mapping and techniques.
Practical day 3: whole treatment.
Practical day 4: after a two week study break where you can consolidate your practice, whole treatment observation and feedback, completion
Requirements:
No previous therapies experience is necessary; just a desire to learn a hands on therapy and a willingness to spend time studying the theory
Knowledge of level 2 and 3 anatomy and physiology is preferable but if you have no previous knowledge, you must be willing to study prior to performing practical techniques.

Course dates:
Theory element can start any time from booking but it is recommended to allow at least 2 weeks prior to the first practical session to complete the online theory.

Available spaces:
Limited to 8 in the classroom for each course, to ensure quality of teaching is maintained and individual attention and guidance is given.
What next, after I complete?
You can practice professionally, immediately on completion. You will receive a Beauty Guild certificate which can be presented to most insurance companies as proof of competent training.
If you wish to receive more support, I will be holding a Study Group for students (about once a quarter) for a small cost.
