Indian Head Massage Course

Learn techniques for a traditional Indian head massage which is a wonderfully holistic and versatile treatment going beyond addressing physical tension. The therapeutic practice is rooted in the ancient Indian medical system of Ayurveda which views health as a combination of vital energies for mind, body and soul.

Indian head massage embodies this by offering a range of benefits by treating the physical, relaxing the mind and restoring balance.

  • Muscles that carry and hold tension in the body in key areas, such as the shoulders, neck and scalp, are targeted with the massage, helping to alleviate aches, stiffness and headaches.
  • The flow of blood and lymph circulation is stimulated to bring nutrients to the upper body and head muscles and toxins are expelled, helping to promote mental clarity and eliminate fatigue.
  • With the fresh flow of blood, the highly vascular brain is replenished with oxygen. One of my clients would come before every important presentation she gave as she was convinced that the treatments boosted her focus and concentration.
  • The soothing effect on the nervous system also promotes deep relaxation and my clients feedback that they have a restful night’s sleep following a treatment.
  • The rhythm and variety of movements induce a state of calm which helps to alleviate stress, anxiety and depression. I have had great success in helping clients overcome mental health challenges by using Indian head massage as an essential tool within their treatment plan.
  • All the while, the chakras in the body are activated, particularly the upper ones and this aids the restoration of balance and harmony.

An Indian head massage will leave you in a blissful state  – a truly well-rounded treatment addressing body, mind and soul!
