During this fully accredited and insurable course, you will have the opportunity to delve into the world of Indian Head Massage and gain practical skills that can be used to promote relaxation, relieve stress, and enhance overall well-being. Our experienced instructor will guide you through various techniques for the upper back, neck and scalp and provide valuable insights into the benefits of Indian Head Massage.
 
You will learn specific techniques for muscle tension relief, scalp massage for headache relief and relaxation that you will be able to use on yourself, your friends and family. You will gain knowledge of specific Indian head massage techniques, chakras and marma points for relaxation, insomnia, loosening stiff muscles, energy boosting and overall well being and balance.
 
The practical training is held at The Observatory Practice,  8 The Crescent, Plymouth, PL1 3AB.
 
Whether you are a beginner or have some experience in Indian Head Massage, this course is designed to cater to all skill levels and equip you with the skills to perform a professional treatment.

Who is this course for?
 
Anyone who wishes to learn techniques of Indian head massage to use informally. No previous experience necessary.
 
It is also suitable for therapists already practising other treatments and who want a refresher and those who wish to learn and practise a full Indian head massage course.
 
What will I learn
 
– Theory of Indian head massage history and techniques.
 
– Knowledge of chakra centres, marma points and Ayurvedic system.
 
– Foundation level anatomy and physiology needed in order to perform Indian head massage techniques.
 
– Practical techniques specific to Indian head massage with live demonstrations and immediate feedback and guidance.
 
Course contents
 
4 in person practical days at The Observatory Practice.
 
Online theory via a student portal.
 
Online assessments.
 
Practical in person assessment.
  
Cost
 
£225 per person (plus £25 registration fee)
 
This includes online theory access to resources, in person 4 days practical tuition, exams. The Guild registration fee of £25 is separate and redeemable against insurance on completion.
 
 
Course dates
 
The practical elements of the course will be running over these days, in class training at The Observatory:
 
Friday 10th October, 9.30am – 2pm
Saturday 11th October, 9.30am – 2pm
Friday 17th October, 9.30am – 2pm
Friday 24th October, 9.30am – 2pm
 
There will be online theory about the therapy and anatomy and physiology to complete before or at the same time, which is self guided study (although I am on hand for support).

Limited to 12 in the classroom to ensure quality of teaching is maintained and individual attention and guidance is given.
