Description
This fully accredited and insurable course will equip you with all the skills needed to perform a reflexology treatment. This course covers reading and interpreting the feet as well as performing relaxation and pressure techniques. It also includes the theory and history behind the reflexology treatment. Resources with clear diagrams and images are included to give you the best possible learning experience. Reception, consultation and aftercare guidance is covered as well as contra-indications to treatment. The course includes online theory as well as practical training sessions at a Plymouth city centre location, designed to give you the confidence and ability to offer a full reflexology treatment.

Who is this course for?
Anyone who wishes to learn about the theory and practical elements of foot reflexology to use as a therapy, either commercially or for friends and family. No previous experience necessary – just a passion to learn!
Suitable for therapists already practicing who wish to refresh their techniques.
What will I learn?
History of reflexology and theory of reflexology techniques.
Anatomy and physiology needed in order to complete a competent reflexology treatment
How to conduct a consultation, including identifying contraindications and providing aftercare advice.
Practical techniques specific to reflexology with live demonstrations and immediate feedback and guidance.
Your trainer
Jasmine is a wellbeing therapist and educator, currently dividing her time between teaching complementary therapy subjects and seeing clients at her own clinic at The Observatory Practice. For the last 19 years, she has added to her holistic toolbox and is qualified in and practises many modalities of complementary therapies. These include reflexology, aromatherapy, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, baby massage, stone therapy, Thai massage, Indian head massage, reiki, yoga and hypnotherapy. She is passionate about wellbeing and sharing her knowledge to help people to help themselves.

★ Theory element can start any time from booking but it is recommended to allow at least 2 weeks prior to the first practical session to complete the online theory if you have previous A&P knowledge and at least 6 weeks prior if you have NO prior studies in anatomy and physiology. .

Our experienced instructor will guide you through various techniques for the upper back, neck and scalp and provide valuable insights into the benefits of Indian Head Massage.
You will learn specific techniques for muscle tension relief, scalp massage for headache relief and relaxation that you will be able to use on yourself, your friends and family. You will gain knowledge of specific Indian head massage techniques, chakras and marma points for relaxation, insomnia, loosening stiff muscles, energy boosting and overall well being and balance.
The practical training is held at The Observatory Practice in Plymouth.

It is also suitable for therapists already practising other treatments and who want a refresher and those who wish to learn and practise a full Indian head massage course.

– Knowledge of chakra centres, marma points and Ayurvedic system.
– Foundation level anatomy and physiology needed in order to perform Indian head massage techniques.
– Practical techniques specific to Indian head massage with live demonstrations and immediate feedback and guidance.

Cost
£225 per person (plus £25 registration fee)
This includes online theory access to resources, in person 4 days practical tuition, exams. The Guild registration fee of £25 is separate and redeemable against insurance on completion.

The practical elements of the course will be running over these days, in class training at The Observatory:
Friday 10th October, 9.30am – 2pm
Saturday 11th October, 9.30am – 2pm
Friday 17th October, 9.30am – 2pm
Friday 24th October, 9.30am – 2pm
There will be online theory about the therapy and anatomy and physiology to complete before or at the same time, which is self guided study (although I am on hand for support).
